Back up folders exactly where they are

Choose any folder on your computer and Qdrive makes it a Location. It stays where it is — you keep working in it as before. Qdrive watches it and backs up each change as it happens.

  • Add as many Locations as you like
  • Files you are editing now are backed up first; older files fill in behind
  • Rename files and folders from inside Qdrive

A Qdrive entry in the sidebar you already use

Qdrive adds itself to the sidebar of your file manager, with every Location listed beneath it — the same way OneDrive or Dropbox appear. There is no separate window to open to get at your files.

  • macOS: a  Qdrive  entry in Finder’s Favourites
  • Windows: a  Qdrive  node in File Explorer
  • Carries the Qdrive icon, not a grey folder
Sync status

A badge on every file icon

Each file in a Location carries a small badge showing whether it is backed up, syncing right now, or still waiting. On a Mac it is a badge on the icon; in File Explorer it is also a Status column. Either way you see it as you browse — not in a separate report you have to go and check.

Account & devices

Sign in once. Your device is registered.

After installing, sign in with your QuantaDrive username and password inside the app. Qdrive registers this computer to your account, so you can see which devices are backing up and remove one if it is lost.

  • Stays signed in across restarts — you sign in again once a week
  • Signing out removes every trace of the account from the computer

Installs cleanly on both platforms

Qdrive for Mac is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens without a security warning — on Apple Silicon and Intel.
